A bill of materials (BOM) can be reported as finished when no further changes are necessary and you want to post the inventory transactions. You can report a BOM as finished from two different locations in the application.

  1. Select > . Select the BOM item you want to report as finished, click , and then click .

    –or–

    Click > > > .

  2. At a minimum, specify applicable information in the following fields:

    • number

    • Any applicable

  3. To post the item issue and receipt transactions immediately, select the check box.

  4. Adjustments are made to the journal name used for .

  5. Click .

    An Infolog message tells you when the process is complete. You can see the posted or unposted inventory transactions (depending on the selection you made) in the journal.
