You must create an item product model group and add items to it before you can set up default values for a group of items in Default values.

Create an Item product model group

Click Product Builder> Setup> Groups> Item product model groups.
Press Ctrl+Nto create a new line.
Type a name and a description for the new item product model group in the appropriate fields: Product model groupand Description.

Add an item to an Item product model group

Click Inventory management> Common Forms> Item details.
Select a required item, and then select the name of the item product model group in the Product model groupfield on the Generaltab.
