To reduce the price to 80% of the original price, you create a transaction with a -20% price change; to change the price to 120% of the original price, you create a transaction with a 20 % price change.

1. Click Service> Service.

2. Select the subscription where you want to change the price, and click Function> Create subscription fee.

3. In the Subscription typelist, select Price change.

4. In the From dateand To datefields, enter the date interval of the subscription fee that needs a price change.

5. In the Percent price changefield, enter the percentage by which you want to change the price.

6. Click OK.

7. To view the created transaction, in the Service subscriptions form, click Transaction> Fee.

You create the following subscription transaction for a customer's maintenance subscription:

Two days after you create the transaction, you realize that the sales price for the subscription transaction is 100.00, not 200.00. To correct this error, you create a new subscription fee with the Subscription typefield set to Price change, and in the Create subscription feedialog box you enter the following:

1. To view the new transaction that corrects the original transaction, in the Service subscriptions form, click Transaction> Fee:

The chargeable amount for the subscription transaction for March 2005 is the original transaction amount, 200.00, minus the price change amount, 100.00.
