Employees in shop floor control are divided into calculation groups and approval groups. These groups often function as different departments within an organization. One supervisor is responsible for calculating employees who are associated with one calculation group or approval group.
This works well as long as an employee always works under the same supervisor. However, this may create problems if an employee works under a different supervisor for a short period of time. In order to handle this, it is possible for a supervisor to lend an employee to different calculation group or approval group for a short period of time.
