Changing the data on the form with specific reference to campaign targets does not impact the campaign target upon which the activity is based; however, changes to the actual campaign target generally do affect the associated activity.
If you create a campaign target and do not specify a person who is responsible for the campaign target, a campaign target activity is not created. This is regardless of the value in the field in the tab on the form.
If you assign someone who is responsible for the campaign target at a later date, the value in the field takes effect. Depending on the value in this field, an activity is created automatically, a dialog box asks if you want to create an activity, or an activity is not created.
Changing the campaign stage
If you set the campaign target to (the check-box is selected), the campaign target activity will be closed. If you subsequently clear the check-box, the campaign target activity will be re-opened.
Deleting a campaign target
If you delete a campaign target, the campaign target activity is automatically deleted.
Changing the follow-up date
If you change the follow-up date of the campaign, the start dates of the campaign target activities do not change.
Changing the employee who is responsible for the campaign target
If you change the employee who is responsible for the campaign target to another employee, the campaign target activity will be deleted and a new campaign target activity will be created for the new employee who is responsible for the campaign target.
If you delete the employee who is responsible for the campaign target, the campaign target activity is deleted.
