You can enter item requirements on projects. Item requirements can be consumed when they are required on the projects. If necessary, an item requirement can be consumed partially.

Create item requirements

  1. Click > .

  2. Select the project for which you want to create an item requirement.

  3. Click , and then from the submenu, select .

  4. Create a new line. For information about how to do this, see GenCreateNew.

  5. Define a quantity in the field on the tab. The item or items are reserved on the inventory.

NoteAn item that is reserved as an item requirement for a project is registered as a sales order on the inventory.

Each time you create a new item requirement line for a project, a new line is created in the existing sales order for that project, even if all the other lines on the form have been packing-slip updated.

Consume item requirements

  1. Click > .

  2. Select the project for which you have created an item requirement.

  3. Click > .

  4. Select the item requirement lines that are to be consumed.

  5. Click > .

  6. On the tab, in the field, select the option.

  7. On the tab, enter the packing slip date.

  8. Click to post the record.

Note Note

An item requirement can be partially delivered. To do this enter the quantity to be delivered in the field on the tab. When you update the item requirement, select in the field on the tab. If you want to deliver the rest of the item requirement later, select in the field to deliver the remainder of the item requirement.
