Sales lead time is the number of days required for an item to be ready for shipping, starting from when the order was created. Set up the lead time on the form; the lead time then applies to the sales order header. Sales lead times are defined either in a trade agreement or in the form for specific items. If multisite functionality is activated, you can set up site specific sales order lead times for items.
If you try to change the receipt date so that the ship date is within the lead time (taking the transport time into consideration) and is selected, a warning message will result and you will be prompted to choose a different receipt date. However, you can still choose a ship date within the sales lead time by clearing .
