You can assign supplementary item groups for Customers, Vendors, and Items.

Assign supplementary item groups for customers

Click Accounts receivable > Customers.
Press CTRL+N to create a new customer or select a customer from the list.
Click the Sales ordertab and select the Supplementary item groupfrom the Supplementary item grouplist.

Assign supplementary item groups for vendors

Click Accounts payable> Vendors.
Press CTRL+N to create a new vendor or select a vendor from the list.
Click the Purchase ordertab and select the Supplementary item groupfrom the Supplementary item grouplist.

Assign supplementary item groups for items

Click Inventory management> Items.
Press CTRL+N to create a new item or select an item from the list.
Click the Price/Discounttab and select a Supplementary item groupfrom the Supplementary itemlist. There is a Supplementary itemlist for both Purchase orderand Sales order.
