Excluding switch codes
When registering switch codes it is possible for an employee to register two different switch codes that contradict one another.
For example, one switch code may trigger double overtime pay and is used when production has problems following the demand and people are asked to work extra hours. Another switch code is used to convert overtime into flexible hours. In this case, the company does not want the employees to convert the overtime into flexible hours when all working hours are needed in production. Therefore, these two switch codes should exclude one another.

On call
If it is important to track how many times an employee is called on during the shift, you must create numerous on-call indirect activities. This is necessary because the employee must register on different activities depending on the first, second, and third call. By using different activities, it is possible to generate different pay.
