1. Click > .

  2. Select the item for which you want to change the item type.

  3. Click and select .

  4. Select an item type from the drop-down list.

  5. Click OK.

Note Note

The item type cannot be changed from to or if a production order exists for the bill of materials (BOM) item.

If you change the item type from to or , BOM versions or route versions associated with the BOM disappear.
