Use the options to specify whether you want Microsoft Dynamics AX to check all records, the current record, or only records that match the selected filter. The records that are selected depend on the location from which you create the alert rule.
For example, suppose that you select a field in the form and then create an alert rule. Depending on what option you select, the rule that you create will be triggered for either all customers, the current customer, or only customers that match the selected filter.
The following table provides examples of what records are selected for your rule when you create a rule from either a sales order or a sales order line:
