In the Posting form, you can set up a ledger account for discounts for any combinations of items, items groups, all items and vendors, vendor groups, and all vendors. Depending on what this parameter is set to, Microsoft Dynamics AX searches for discount accounts as follows:

• Each vendor - Each item

• Groups of vendors - Groups of items

• All vendors - All items

• Each item - Each vendor

• Groups of items - Groups of vendors

• All items - All vendors

If you select Vendor, Microsoft Dynamics AX starts to search from each vendor. If you select Item, the application starts to searching from each item.
