Use this form to calculate the hour utilization rate within your company.

The hour utilization rate is displayed as a percentage. The percentage displays how the hours which are allocated to customers and customer projects are being used.

The efficiency rate is shown as a percentage. The percentage displays how efficient the company is with hours on projects.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Buttons

Button	Description
Calculate	Calculate the hour utilization for employees.
Transaction	Open the hour transaction form to view actual hour transactions.
Forecast	Open the hour forecast form to view the forecasted hour transactions.
Export to Microsoft Office Excel	Export the calculated data to a Microsoft Office Excel PivotTable.

Fields

Field	Description
Type	Select whether to calculate the utilization rate based on the billable rate or the efficiency rate.
Employee period	Select the employee period for which you are calculating the hour utilization rate.
From date	Enter a starting date for the hour utilization calculation.
To date	Enter an end date for the hour utilization calculation.
Actual vs. Budget	Select whether to calculate actual hours or budgeted hours.
Forecast model	If you have selected budget in the Actual vs. Budgetfield, select the forecast model that was used when the budget was created.
Consumed hours	View the actual consumed hours that are included in the calculation.
Not included hours	View the actual number of hours that were not included in the calculation of the utilization rate percentage.
Included hours	View the actual number of hours that were included in the calculation of the utilization rate percentage by using the percentage as the denominator in the calculation.
Norm hours	View the acceptable amount of utilization hours for a period. When calculating the utilization rate percentage from the employee view, you can use Norm hours. Norm hours are entered on an employee's individual period status.
Burden hours	View the actual number of burden hours that were included in the calculation of the utilization rate percentage.
Utilization hours	View the actual number of utilization hours that were included in the calculation rate percentage n.
Utilization rate %	View the utilization rate percentage based on the hour calculation.
