Create company accounts to represent the organizational structure of the company.

A single Microsoft Dynamics AX database can hold many individual companies. Each company uses the same application logic, but has its own set of data for one or more tables. Data that is stored in one company cannot be accessed from other companies.

1. Open the Company:form from the initialization checklist or click Administration> Common Forms> Company accounts.

2. Press CTRL+N to create a new record.

3. Enter a company code in the Company accountsfield.

4. Enter the name of the company in the Name of company accountsfield.

5. Press CTRL+S to save the company account.
