Use this form to post vendor invoices that are approved to
appropriate ledger accounts. The actual balance in the journal is
reflected in the
and
fields.
The invoices that you can put into this journal originate in the
journal.

Example
An employee has entered and posted some vendor invoices in the
. The
amounts are automatically posted to the
and
ledger
accounts that are defined in
. The employee gives the physical invoices to the person whose
code is entered in the
field.
The employee whose name is displayed in the
field approves the physical
invoices with a stamp or a signature and forwards them to the
accounting department.
Note
If approval is delayed, a report can be printed to remind the
approver about the invoices that are awaiting approval.
An accounting employee puts the invoices into the
, adds appropriate information, and posts the
invoices. The amounts are cleared from the temporary ledger
accounts, posted to the appropriate ledger accounts, and the vendor
invoices can then be settled.

This date is often the date of invoice from the vendor.

Currency code for the amount.
Total amount in currency.

Enter the sales tax code for the transaction. It must be
specified if the posting type for the account is sales tax.
If this check box is selected, the sales tax direction for the
current journal line within the current voucher number is
controlled by the setup of the
field, which is in the
form for the
actual ledger account in the
field on the journal line.
Enter or view the abbreviation for the set of company accounts
in which the current transaction is to be offset.

If a text other than the one entered in the transaction text

This check box is selected if the currency code is included in
triangulation. It is defaulted from the information on the selected
currency, but it can be changed.
Currency exchange rate that applies to the transaction. The
currency rate that is expressed here is the rate that is set up in
the
form, but it is possible to change this rate if necessary.
The exchange rate is expressed as the number of units of the
foreign (non-company) currency that is indicated in the
field on the
tab in the
form.

discount is shown.
Cash discount amount that is included in the payment.
When payment is made before the deadline, the specified amount
is redeemed and posted automatically by the open-post system.
