Tasks that use this form

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Open the Microsoft SharePoint Services New Site Wizard.

Register a site with Enterprise Portal by specifying the URL and the type of site.

Display the site in a Web browser.

The URL for intranet users.

The URL for external user access. The default URL for this site is the internal URL, but you can change it.

Determines whether anonymous users can access this site. This option is selected by default for any sites created using the Microsoft Dynamics Public template, which is designed for Internet sites.

Specify which Web site is used for deploying development changes to the Enterprise Portal sites.

If your organization uses more than one Internet Information Services (IIS) Web site to host Enterprise Portal and Role Centers, specify which site should host Role Centers by clicking the globe button next to this field. For more information, see Overview for administering Role Centers.

Enable Encryption

Select this check box to enable URL encryption. This is not Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption; this encryption is unique to Microsoft Dynamics AX, and it encrypts the RECID and TABLEID parameters in an Enterprise Portal URL.

You might want to select this check box if you have set up record-level security and you do not want users to change the record ID in a URL. Note that if you do select this check box, URLs cannot be saved in Favorites because the URLs will expire.

Encryption Expiration Interval (days)

Specify the number of days that an encrypted URL is valid before expiring.

Resize image

Select this check box if you want images on the Web pages to comply with preset image sizes.

Image size (small)

Specify a standard size (in pixels) for small images.

Image size (large)

Specify a standard size (in pixels) for large images.

Maintain aspect ratio

Select this check box to ensure that image resizing does not change the image appearance.

Select this check box if you want users to be able to toggle between companies using the Companylist at the top of Enterprise Portal Web pages. If this check box is cleared, an Enterprise Portal site will display data for only one company. If this option is cleared and your organization has multiple companies set up in Microsoft Dynamics AX, you will need to create a separate Enterprise Portal site for each company. For more information, see Create multiple Enterprise Portal sites on the same server.

Company accounts

Select the accounts users can access from this site.

The type of each registered Web site. To change the value, you must register the site again.
