Administration> Setup> Directory View

Use the Directory view setupform to assign a name and number to the enterprise.

The top-level node of all directory views represents the enterprise, or the whole Microsoft Dynamics AX system. By default, this node is generically named Enterprise. However, you can change the name according to the requirements of your organization. For example, suppose the companies in Microsoft Dynamics AX represent divisions of a parent company. The Enterprisenode name can be changed to Parent Company Name. Microsoft Dynamics AX companies could be named Division 1, Division 2, and so on.

Company names are assigned in the Company informationform ( Basic> Setup> Company information).
