Use this form to set up standard values for operations scheduling, which is used for long-term scheduling of capacity. Because the values in this form are used each time you run a new schedule, they should contain the parameters you that you use most often.

Fields

Description |

Specify the desired scheduling direction for the production order. The following options are available:
Date used for the scheduling direction Forward from scheduling date or Backward from scheduling date. Scheduling is then made backward or forward from that date. For more information about the scheduling direction, see . |
Skip scheduling of queue time. |
Skip scheduling of setup time. |
Skip scheduling of run time. |
Skip scheduling of overlap time. |
Skip scheduling of transit time. |
If selected, and underlying or overlying productions are attached, those productions will be scheduled according to the main production. In relation to the current production, overlying productions will be scheduled forward, and the underlying productions will be scheduled backwards. Production order references can be viewed via the field in the Production orders (form)dialog box. |
If selected, the productions that are related to the production specified in the field will be scheduled based on the production's starting and ending times. To select this field, the field must also be selected. When job scheduling, you can also specify a job identification. The other jobs for the current production and reference productions will then be scheduled according to this job. |
Indicates whether scheduling should observe capacity limitations. |
By selecting this field, you can specify that the materials should be considered limited during scheduling. If the materials are limited, the material's coverage for that time will be taken into account. In other words, scheduling takes into account the items' futures dates. Scheduling reserves raw materials and explodes the current production. If scheduling takes place several times, only the first scheduling will run an explosion and make reservations. If you make changes in the production BOM or route, the next scheduling will run an explosion. The explosion assumes that the materials are needed the same day. Because the production is not scheduled at the time of the master schedule explosion, the current date is used as the best estimate of when the items will become available. The explosion then checks whether the items are on hand. If the items are on hand, satisfying the production's requirement is possible. If the items are not on hand by the current date, a planned order will be generated and an offset selection made for the planned order. If automatic-firming is set for the planned order, the planned order will be firmed automatically for purchase or production. The production's status will automatically change to the status specified in the field in the Coverage groupsdialog box. If the check box is cleared, the materials are always considered as available. Therefore, scheduling does not take into consideration whether the materials are on hand at the time of requirement. |
