You can print the customer reference on order confirmations, quotations, packing slips, and invoices, or you can use it as criteria for limiting queries and print jobs. For more information, see Sales order. You can enter numbers, symbols, and letters in the field.

Additionally, if you create a sales order with the delivery type Direct delivery, you can have the customer requisition and customer reference transferred to the purchase order by selecting the Purchase ordercheck box in the Accounts payable Parameters form. For more information, see Parameters.
