There are three posting layers for transactions.
-
is the default layer, which is used for transactions that are a part of the periodic financial reporting.
-
is used for other transactions that are a part of the periodic financial reporting for internal purposes.
-
is used for transactions that are not a part of the external or internal reporting, but for recording special tax transactions, such as tax depreciation for fixed assets.
Only one transaction type can be posted in a journal. To create at least one journal name for each posting layer that you use, select an option in the field on the tab in the form.
In the , the posting layer is displayed for each value model attached to the fixed asset. The posting layer cannot be changed.
Fixed asset transactions can be recorded in journals only for value models that use the same posting layer as defined for the journal name. For example, if the journal name is for the posting layer, value models for the or posting layers are not visible for the journal because they cannot be posted in this journal.
