Use this form to create users groups so that you can establish who can access Microsoft Dynamics AX and what permissions they have when they are working in Microsoft Dynamics AX. By adding a user to a group, you give the user all of the permissions and user rights that are assigned to that group. Before users can access Microsoft Dynamics AX, they must be added to the list of Microsoft Dynamics AX users, and they must be added to at least one Microsoft Dynamics AX user group.
By default, Microsoft Dynamics AX creates an Administratorsuser group and an Adminuser during installation. Administrators have complete access to all Microsoft Dynamics AX forms, menus, tables, reports, the Application Object Tree (AOT), and all security keys.
Important |
---|
•Restrict the number of Microsoft Dynamics AX users who are members of the Administratorsuser group. If a regular Microsoft Dynamics AX user is made a member of the Administratorsuser group, that user can potentially view reports or data that that user should not be allowed to see, or that user can potentially change configurations and business logic in the system. Ideally, only those individuals who will be configuring and administering Microsoft Dynamics AX should be members of the Administratorsuser group. •Do not delete the Administratorsuser group. This user group is required for Microsoft Dynamics AX administrators. |
