General ledger> Setup> Fixed assets> Locations

Use this form to create identifiers for the locations of your fixed assets. Enter a location for each fixed asset in the Fixed assets .

Note
If you have loaned an asset to someone, you can click General ledger> Fixed assets > Functions> Lending> Generaltab, and enter information about the location of the asset.

Navigating the form

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tab	Description
Overview tab	Create and view the locations of the fixed assets.
General tab	View the fields on the Overviewtab for the location selected on the Overviewtab.
Address	Enter an address for the location. This is optional. To delete an address but not the location, clear all address fields.

Field	Description
Location	The identification of the location.
Name	A short description of the identification of the location.
Street name	Street name and number of the address for the selected location.
ZIP/postal Code	ZIP/Postal Code of the location address. This field provides the default entries for the city, county, state, and country/region fields.
City	City for ZIP/Postal Code.
County	County of the location address. This field is often used for searching and sorting. NoteYou can select from counties that are identified for the state selected in the Statefield.
State	State of the location address. This field is often used for searching and sorting. NoteYou can select from states that are identified for the country/region selected in the Country/regionfield.
Country/region	Country/region of the location address.
