Field

Description

Select to allocate from an account or an account-dimension combination.

If you selected in the field, you must select a dimension.

Enter the account or dimension information to allocate from.

You can use wildcards (ALL, RANGE, or LIST) to specify accounts or dimension codes, or you can use the wildcard BLANK for dimensions. For example, suppose that you want to allocate a utility expense, such as phone and fax expense, and the chart of accounts has been set up so that a ledger account that starts with 61defines the account as a utility expense. You could define the source criteria in one of the following ways.

  • 61* – All accounts that start with a 61

  • 6100..6110 – All accounts in the RANGE from 6100 to 6110

  • 6100, 6110 – Accounts 6100 OR 6110

If you entered Dimension = Departmentand a source criteria = Admin,"", information that includes the department dimension equal to Admin or blank is displayed.
