Use this form to configure endpoints for data transfer. For inbound transfers, the endpoint is the source; for outbound transfers, the endpoint is the destination. For example, trading partners are endpoints.

Before you can configure an endpoint, the following conditions must be met:

  • A local endpoint is configured for the current company.

  • An action is enabled for the exchange, for example, CustCustomerService.read. For more information, see topic "Creating and configuring actions" in the Server and Database Administration Help.

  • Microsoft Dynamics AX users are associated with the endpoint.

  • Customer or vendor accounts are set up as users.

  • An outbound channel is defined, if needed.

Note Note

Microsoft Dynamics AX ships with a default endpoint that can be used to enable data exchanges as soon as services are generated. The default endpoint has minimal configuration options, and you cannot add any constraints or users to the default endpoint.

Select the encoding format for this endpoint:

Select this check box if there are no customer, vendor, or warehouse restrictions on the data being exchanged with this endpoint.

If you do not select the check box, then you must select a constraint for the endpoint:
