Use this form to configure the way that product groups and items are presented in the Customer Self-Service (CSS) module, which is the customer role in the Enterprise Portal. Select a node in the upper pane and attach a description and a picture in the lower pane.

Note Note

If you open this form from the navigation pane, you can switch between and . However, if you open this form from the form, you are confined to the current line.

An icon indicates whether a picture has been attached to the current item/product group.

Enter an item description.

Enter an item summary.

Enter a product description.

Add and remove images and indicate whether you want a picture added or removed for all languages or only the current language. The images are imported into the Microsoft Dynamics AX database. The common formats on the Internet are .gif and .jpg. Microsoft Dynamics AX cannot display .gif files, but it can save .gif files in the database.

A brief description of the product group or item, depending on the choice in the field. If you use this description, you can have language-controlled product group and item descriptions in CSS.

In CSS, the field is used as follows:

  • A description of product groups if the field for detailed description in this form is empty.

  • A description of product groups and items in the overview forms accessed from the Web menu Products.

  • The field Item name in the Web form Item description accessed by clicking an item number in the CSS.
