A field delimiter is a character that separates one field from another in an import file. The three types of field delimiters are:

• Tabulator

• Semicolon

• Comma

The field delimiter should be noted by the sender when receiving the import file.

Example

An import file record could look like the following example, in which the comma (",") is the field delimiter:

Name, Street Name, Number, Zip Code, County, State, Country/Region, Telephone
