Use this form to define new configurations and select between existing configurations.
The first section shows the configuration groups that are associated with each of the bill of materials (BOM) lines in the form. For each configuration group, you can select between the item numbers and configurations that are associated with the individual configuration groups in the BOM.
The second section contains existing configurations, which you can select directly by clicking the configuration that you want to use.
You can define the sequence of configuration groups in the dialog box. In the form, you can define the rules used to configure a new configuration. For example, you might decide that a choice of item number for one configuration group automatically gives a choice of item numbers for another configuration group.
Navigating the form
The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.
Fields
Field |
Description |
---|---|
Select the date of the configuration. |
Enter the minimum quantity that is valid for this BOM version. When generating orders, the program automatically selects a BOM version that is based on this and other criteria that you specify. If you leave the field blank, this BOM version is valid for all quantities. |
Select a non-active BOM. This is only possible if the item has several BOMs. |
Enter the name of either the current configuration group or the configuration route. |
Select the item number for the current configuration group. The options are those BOM lines that specify the current configuration group, and whose current date falls within the BOM lines' period of validity. |
Variation of the current item. A blank field means that the variation does not exist, and that a new one will be created by using this configuration ID. |
Identification of the configuration. Depending on the settings for the number sequence reference configuration, the configuration is generated automatically or is entered manually. |
Enter a name to describe the configuration. For more information, see ConfigTable_Name_More |
