Accounting for fixed assets is done by generating reports to establish the value and track the movement of assets over a specified period of time. One type of fixed asset report is the asset record report.

The Asset recordreport displays details for a specific fixed asset that is acquired or not acquired.

  1. Click General ledger> Common Forms> Fixed Asset Detailsto open the Fixed assetsform.

  2. Press CTRL+N and enter the required details.

  3. In the Fixed asset groupfield, select a fixed asset group.

  4. Click Print> Asset recordto open the Asset recordreport.

  5. Click Selectto open the Asset record - Reportform, and then set up the selection criteria for the report.

  6. Click OKto return to the Asset recordreport.

  7. Click OKto generate the report.
