You must issue a corrective invoice to correct or change an invoice for VAT calculation and accounting purposes. You can correct an invoice for the invoiced quantity, invoiced amount, or changes in tax rates.

In accordance with the Hungarian accounting laws, if you create a credit note as a correction, the header of the document must include the date, the invoice number of the original invoice, and a short description of the reason for the cancelation or correction.

  1. Click Accounts receivables> Common Forms> Sales Order Detailsto open the Sales orderform.

  2. Press CTRL+N to create a new sales order.

  3. Select a sales order, and then click Functions> Create credit noteto open the Create credit noteform.

  4. Modify the quantity, amount, and unit price, if required, in the Quantity, Amount, and Unit pricefields.

  5. Click OKto return to the Sales orderform.

    Note Note

    The corrected line details are displayed on the Linestab in the sales order form.


  6. Click Functions(lower pane) > Vat groupsto open the Vat groupsform.

    Note Note

    You can modify the sales tax group and the item sales tax group only in the corrective lines. You can use this function to post a sales tax reversal on a different general ledger account.


  7. In the Item sales tax groupfield, select the item sales tax group for the corrective line.

  8. In the Sales tax groupfield, select the sales tax group for the corrective line.

  9. Click OKto close the form.

  10. Click Posting> Invoiceto post the corrective sales invoice with the credit note.
