Layout window

Allows you to design the appearance of windows and reports in your application.

Window layout

A window is the main method of communication between the user and your Dexterity application. It consists of the visual area displayed on the screen that contains editable fields, interactive controls and static items such as text or pictures. Refer to the following topics for more information about designing windows:

Report layout

Reports allow you to retrieve data from your application’s tables and present it to users in an organized manner. A report layout consists of several sections to which you can add fields and graphic objects. You can also specify drawing options, and add or modify sections of the report. To display this window

In the Form Definition window, click the Windows tab. Select the name of an existing window and click Open, or click New to create a new window layout. The Layout window will open.

In the Report Definition window, click the Layout button. The Layout window will open.
