Allows you to modify display types, specify which element of an array to use, control visibility options, and specify a format for a field.
You also can use the window to designate a format field. Format fields allow users of an application to assign formats to string or currency fields on a record-by-record basis. The format information is saved in the same record with the currency or string field.
When you place a string or currency field that uses a format field on a report layout, you need to use the Report Field Options window to identify the format field, so that the Report Writer can retrieve the format information and print the record the same way it was saved.
Open the Report Definition window for a report. Click Layout to open the Layout window, then select a field and choose Report Field Options from the Tools menu. You can also open this window by double-clicking a field in the Layout window.
