Transaction text related to fixed assets

You can set up default transaction text for transactions that are created automatically, such as depreciation transactions that are created on the basis of depreciation disposal. Select > > to set up default transaction text.

Fixed assets transactions can be created from a purchase order, a free text invoice, fixed assets journals, depreciation book journals, general journals, and accounts payable.

The following transaction text options are for transactions that are created in the form.

  • For updates of the vendor account - The transaction text set up for

  • For updates of the general ledger - The transaction text set up for .

In the fixed assets journals, the transaction type of the transaction is used as the transaction text, which usually means or .

The following transaction text options are for transactions that are created in the form.

  • For updates of the customer account - The transaction text set up for

  • For updates of the general ledger - The transaction text set up for .

  • For updates of the fixed asset, the posting text that is entered manually on the free text invoice in the field is used as a transaction text.

Most fixed assets transactions, however, are posted through journals. The transaction text is fixed only in the journal according to the setup of the transaction text for transaction type .

  • In all other journals, the transaction text can be entered manually.

For transactions that are created automatically, you can set up default transaction text that is used when those transactions are posted. An example of such a transaction is a depreciation created on the basis of a depreciation proposal.

Create transaction text

The following two default transaction text options are available for fixed assets.

- Used as default text for all other fixed assets transactions created in a journal using one of the system proposals - value models and depreciation books.

- Used only for the special functionality of dissolution of provisions for profit on sold assets, which is set up in .

Refer to the following information to create the transaction texts for fixed assets.

  1. Click > > .

  2. Createa line.

  3. In the field, select .

  4. Select in the field.

  5. Fill in the field.

  6. Repeat step 1-5 to select as transaction text.

For both transaction text options, text variables can be used that include one or more variables in the transaction text.

The following variables are available for fixed assets transactions:
