You can define an alert rule as a template. By using an alert rule template you can create a new alert rule without your needing to decide on all the details of the alert rule.

1. Click Microsoft Dynamics AXmenu > Tools> Manage alert rules.

2. In the Manage alert rulesform, right-click to select the alert rule that you want to use as a template.

3. Select Record infoand then select User template.

4. In the Create templatedialog box, provide a description for your alert rule template, and click OK.
