To set a goal

  1. Click > > > .

  2. In the field, enter a description of the goal.

  3. In the and fields, enter dates for the period in which the person is to achieve the goal.

  4. Click the tab.

  5. In the field, select the person that you want to set the goal for.

  6. In the field, select the type to which the goal belongs.

  7. In the field, select the appropriate category heading.

  8. Click the tab, and then provide all required responses.

    Note Note

    You must save your responses before you select another tab or close the form.


  9. To add additional detail to the goal, enter any of the following information:

    • If you are also using Balanced Scorecard, select the strategic objective that the goal contributes to.

    • Indicate importance by entering a number in the field.

    • Set the appropriate status in the field.

    • Enter a target figure, and the unit in which you will measure performance in the options in the field group. After the goal is ended, you can then enter the figure that the person actually achieved.

    • Enter resource time and cost estimates in the options in the field group. After the goal is ended, you can then enter the actual time used and cost incurred.
