Trade agreements typically include sales prices and discounts. Sales prices have typically been negotiated between you and the customer, or they are a fixed rate for the service or item the customer is purchasing.

Price groups can be assigned to all project types and can be used to manage costs within projects that are similar in sales price, tax, and currency. Price groups can also be assigned to project contracts.

When you have assigned a price group to a project, project contract, or customer, the sales prices become available when you create forecasts, or enter journal transactions for hours, expenses, fees, and subscriptions, and quotations.

When a price group is created as part of a customer trade agreement and is maintained in , , or , the price group is supported through with rates that are automatically available when you create detail lines in the and .
