To set up Fixed assets, you must specify parameters in the General ledger parametersform.

1. Click General ledger> Setup> Parameters.

2. On the Fixed assetstab, enter values in the following fields:

   • Min. depreciation

   • Allow multiple acquisitions

   • Posting profile

   • Default value model

   You also can enter information in the other fields. The fields that are displayed depend on the country/region configuration keys that are selected.

3. Enter a value in the Autonumber fixed assetsfield, if your company has set up number sequences for this purpose.

4. Enter values in the following fields, as necessary:

   • Inventory journal

   • Account for revenue recognition of untransferred reserves

5. Select the following check boxes, as necessary:

   • Bar code equals fixed asset number

   • Deduct cash discount?

6. On the Inventory dimensionstab, select which inventory dimensions are shown on the lines in the Inventory to fixed assetsjournal.

7. On the Number sequencestab, select the number sequence code for fixed asset numbering, if your company has set up number sequences for this purpose.
