  2. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.

  3. In the field, enter a unique identifier for the data link.

  4. In the field, enter a description of the data link.

    When creating a new data link, the button becomes available when the form is either saved or updated.

  5. Click to start the Data Link Properties wizard.

    Use this wizard to select the OLE DB provider that you want to connect to, enter connection information, and test the connection. After the connection is made, the button becomes available.

  6. To define the tables, fields, calculation settings and ranges that are to be used in the data link, click .
