Post in the Journal voucher form

After you create and validate journal lines in one of the forms, you can post the vouchers.

To find the form, open the appropriate journal form, select the appropriate journal, and then click .


  1. Click .

  2. To post the lines without errors and transfer lines with errors to a new journal of the same type, click . This new journal is created automatically.

    –or–

    Click . If an error exists, no lines are posted, and you receive an error message. If the error message mentions posting restrictions, you might be set up to post only journals that you create. For more information, see Posting restrictions (form).

Post in the Journal form

If several journals are created and validated, perhaps by several different employees, a manager can inspect the journals and then post the journals in the form. To do this:

  1. Select the validated journal that you want to post in the form.

  2. Click .

  3. To post the lines without errors and transfer lines with errors to a new journal of the same type, click . This new journal is created automatically.

    Click . If an error exists, no lines are posted, and you receive an error message. If the error message mentions posting restrictions, you might be set up to post only journals that you create. For more information, see Posting restrictions (form).

Print journal lines

You have several options if you want to print the journal lines as you prepare them or after the journal lines are posted.

  1. In either the or forms, click .

  2. Click one of the following:

The lines can be printed after they are posted only if the check box on the tab in the form is not selected.
