When you perform a fresh installation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, the multisite functionality is activated by default. When the multisite functionality is activated, the site inventory dimension is mandatory, and you must enter a site value when you create inventory transactions.

Install Microsoft Dynamics AX with multisite functionality activated

  1. Install Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009.

  2. When you have finished installing, the program displays the .

  3. As you work through the checklist, select the step.

  4. Locate the node and select the check box.

  5. Click to enable the LogisticsAdvanced configuration key.

  6. Proceed through the .

  7. After you have finished the step, the multisite functionality is activated for the DAT company and for all companies that you subsequently create.
