In the following overview you can see how to set up security keys for Alerts and how permission to feature areas can be divided among people with various responsibilities in your company.

Set up security keys

  1. Click > > > .

  2. Create a new group by pressing CTRL+N, or select an existing group on the tab, and then click the tab.

    Note Note

    While the information loads into the form, you see the dialog box. Loading security information for the chosen item may take some time.


  3. Select the following security keys to allow access to these forms, dialog boxes, and tables:

Set up security keys to use Alerts from Enterprise Portal

  1. Follow the description above to set up security keys.

  2. Select in the field in the form to access the security keys for Web forms.

  3. Select the following security keys under > .

    The security keys:

    Allows users to:

    "Rule list", EPEventRuleList

    • Access, view, and delete their alert rules.

    "Rule details", EPEEventRuleInfo

    • Change alert rules to stop generating alerts based on those rules and delete individual rules.

    Alert list", EPEventAlertList

    • Access all their alerts that are listed in the form in Microsoft Dynamics AX and delete individual alerts.

    "Alert details", EPEventAlertInfo

    • View alert details and delete alerts.
