Shop floor control includes preconfigured registration forms. You can also create new registration forms to meet your specific needs.

The three registration form menu items ( , and ) are connected to the preconfigured forms , and .

Keep the registration forms as simple as possible.


Create a new registration form

  1. Click > > > .

  2. Press CTRL+N to create a new configuration.

  3. Make your selections.

Start page

When you select the start page for a registration form, the following options are available.

Button functions

You can apply the following functions to buttons in the registration form.

Clocks the employee in or out, depending on employee status.

Starts the feedback process for production jobs started by the employee.

View available indirect activities for registration.

View employees to whom you can connect as an assistant.

Approves any selections made by the employee.

Cancels any selections made.

View registrations for the employee.

Selects another work center.

View jobs related to projects.

Switches to the secondary button functions (and vice versa).

Tip Tip

If you use secondary button functions, put this function on key F12 for both primary and secondary buttons.


Show selected jobs in a bundle.

View the next message. For more information about messages, see Send messages.

View the previous message. For more information about messages, see Send messages.

Selects the Readfield for the active message if a receipt is required for this message. For more information about messages, see Send messages.

Opens an inventory journal.

View scheduled production jobs.

Connect an employee to a specific registration form

You can connect a specific registration form configuration to an employee.

  1. Click > > .

  2. Select the employee you want to add to the registration form.

  3. Click the tab.

  4. In the box, select the registration form configuration for this particular employee.

Select a new registration form from the Microsoft Dynamics AX menu

Click > > > and specify which configuration to open.

Note Note

If you want a new configuration to be opened without having to select it from a list every time, you have to create a new . For complete instructions, see Using Microsoft Dynamics AX Menus.

The object type of the new menu item must be Form, Object must be JmgRegistration, and the Parameter for the menu item is the name.
