Use the form to set up ledger account categories. You can use account categories, which are attributes that provide an additional classification, to categorize general ledger accounts and define an account range to view information from a group of accounts. For more information, refer to the Ledger account categories (form).

Ledger account categories are used for key performance indicators (KPIs) and calculated measures for analysis cubes. Based on the ledger account categories that are assigned to your ledger accounts, the KPIs and calculated measures provide summarized views of your data.   1. Click > > .

  2. Enter a unique name for the account category and a description.

  3. Select an account type to associate to the account category.

    The account type is displayed in the field in the form. However, selecting an account type here does not prevent you from linking the account category to ledger accounts of a different account type.

  4. To link an account category to a ledger account, click the button. For more information, see Link ledger accounts to account categories.
