Use this procedure to create and set up a minimum or maximum key.

  1. Click > > > .

  2. On the tab, press CTRL+N to create a new minimum/maximum key.

  3. Enter an identifier for the key, and enter a name for it.

  4. On the tab, enter information to:

    • Define time periods during which you want the key to be in effect.

    • Specify the factors that you want to apply to the key for each time period.

    • Specify starting dates and ending dates (validity dates) for the time period.

Example

You want to set up a minimum key that accounts for increased seasonal demand during the spring and summer months.

  • Create 12 lines and number them from 1 to 12 in the field.

  • Select in the field.

  • In the field, enter as follows:

    Minimum inventory uses the setting on the form for January through March.
