Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services is a server-based solution that enables users to create and publish traditional, paper-based reports, as well as interactive Web-based reports.

To integrate Microsoft Dynamics AX and Reporting Services, complete the following tasks:

1. Become familiar with Reporting Services. Review the Overview of Reporting Servicestopic and the Reporting Services documentation.

2. Install the Reporting Services extensions.

3. Register your Reporting Services server.

4. Specify the default Reporting Services server.

5. To enable users to create ad hoc reports using Report Builder (a component of Reporting Services), do the following:

   • Create report perspectives.

   • Generate and publish report models.

6. Configure security settings for reports.
