Use this form to create and manage country/region identification codes for addresses.

Country/region codes are used in address fields throughout Microsoft Dynamics AX for international deliveries, invoicing, money transfers, Intrastat reporting, and the EU sales list.

Fields

Field

Description

The unique identifier for the country/region. This code is primarily used in addresses. For example, you select a country/region when you create an address in the and forms.

The official name of the country/region.

The classification that links the country/region to international trade organizations, such as Intrastat, which follows the movement of items between European Union (EU) countries for statistical purposes. You can select from the following options:

  • – Used for Intrastat reporting in San Marino.

The address format that applies to addresses within the country/region.

The code for the country/region that is used by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). You use this code for Intrastat reports in the EU. When you select in the field, you can select among the EU country codes.

Select this check box if you want to run a validation of the tax exempt number for this country/region. View the tax exempt numbers in the form.

Select the default payment ID type.

(NOR) This field is available only if the configuration key for Norway is selected.


The country/region code that is used in the EU sales list as part of a tax exempt number.

The code used for Intrastat reporting in Austria, Germany, France, Spain, and Sweden.

Select the preferred time zone for the country/region.

Select the method that is used to validate bank giro account numbers. Select or one of the countries/regions in the list.

Select the method that is used to validate bank account numbers in the form. Select or one of the countries/regions in the list.

The national currency of the country/region.

Select this check box to validate postal codes when they are entered. The postal code must pass one of the following format validations:

  • Length equals five numeric characters

  • Length equals 10 characters, of which the first five are numeric, the last four are numeric, and the character in the sixth position is a dash

  • Length equals nine numeric characters and no dash
