Use this form to create and set up minimum and maximum keys. You can use these keys to increase or decrease the minimum and maximum inventory levels that you define for an item in the form. Microsoft Dynamics AX uses the inventory level to calculate net requirements for the item during master scheduling.

Minimum and maximum keys allow you to handle seasonal fluctuations in demand. For example, you could decrease the minimum inventory level of an item in the off-season and gradually increase the level in the following months.

Tip Tip

To specify minimum/maximum inventory levels and use minimum/maximum keys, you must select the option Min./Max.in the field of the form.
