You can post a sales credit note for a sold fixed asset by using a free text invoice.

  1. Click Accounts receivable> Common Forms> Free Text Invoice Details.

  2. Press CTRL+N to create a new line, and then select the customer account for which the credit note is to be created.

    For more information, see the section "Free text invoice (form)" in the Applications and Business Processes Help.

  3. Click Functions> Create credit noteto open the Create credit noteform.

  4. Select the Markcheck box to add all of the invoice lines to the credit note, and then click OK.

    Note Note

    In the Free text invoiceform, all of the lines that were added to the credit note are displayed on the Invoice linestab.

  5. Click Posting> Free text invoiceto post the credit note.
