The financial reports generator (FRG) allows you to generate reports using Microsoft Office Word and Microsoft Office Excel templates. The Russian FRG can be used to generate accounting report forms, tax declarations, and other reports, for ledger transactions, budgets, and tax registers. Unlike the Western financial reports generator, the format of the Russian generator is fully determined in advance, and each cell can be set up independently from the others.

  1. Click General ledger> Setup> Financial reports generator> Financial reports generatorto open the Reportform.

  2. Press CTRL+N to create a new report.

  3. In the Report codefield, enter the report code.

  4. In the Descriptionfield, enter a text description for the report.

  5. In the Templatefield, select the document template.

  6. Click the Generaltab.

  7. In the Currencyfield, select the currency from the following options:

    • Base currency– All data in the report is presented in the company's default currency.

    • Secondary currency– All data in the report is presented in the company's secondary currency.

  8. In the Periodfield, select the default voucher calculation period.

    Note Note

    The financial reports generator can use one of the date intervals set up as the period. The period can be calculated depending on the specified base date when the report is run.


  9. In the Datafield, select the default data source for the report.

  10. In the Budget modelfield, select the default budget model number.

    Note Note

    This field is activated when you select Budgetin the Datafield.


  11. In the Output tofield, select the Microsoft Office Wordor Microsoft Office Exceltemplate type.

  12. In the Templatefield, select the file path.

    Note Note

    Any user with rights to access the financial reports generator can generate a report and save the template in a shared network folder. However, if the template is saved in the user's local folder, the report can only be generated from the user's workstation.


  13. In the Factorfield, enter the value that the report data is divided by.

  14. In the Fractional partfield, enter the number of decimal places to be used.

  15. Click the Type of transactionstab to enter reversing parameters.

    Note Note

    This tab is available when you select Transactionsin the Datatype field.


  16. On the Reversing entrytab, in the Transaction usagefield, select the type of transaction to be included in the report from the following options:

    • All– View all transactions.

    • Only reversing entry– View reverse transactions.

    • Without reversing entry– Hide reverse transactions.

  17. Click the Type of operationtab to enter the transaction filter parameters by transaction type.

  18. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.

  19. In the Transaction typefield, select the required transaction type.

    Note Note

    The transaction type determines which module's transactions is used in generating the report.


  20. Click the Operations/Taxtab to specify the default filter parameters.

  21. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.

  22. In the Posting layerfield, select the correct accounting type.

  23. Click the Dimensiontab to generate the report for a particular dimension code of ranges but not for all dimensions.

  24. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.

  25. In the Dimensionfield, select the correct dimension type.

  26. In the Fromand Tofields, select the starting and ending code for the dimension range whose transactions should be included in the report.

    Note Note

    Create a line for each required dimension range. If no lines are created, the filter will not be used.


  27. Click Opento view the template and validate the template cell setup.

    Note Note

    If the file path to the report template is specified correctly, Microsoft Office Word or Microsoft Office Excel will open first, and then the template file will open. If the file path to the template was specified incorrectly, a warning is displayed.


  28. Press CTRL+S or close the form.
