You can reconcile the transactions posted to a bank account.

  1. Click Bank> Common Forms> Bank Account Detailsto open the Bank accountsform.

  2. Select the bank account to be reconciled.

  3. Click Functions, and then click Account reconciliationto open the Bank account statementform.

  4. Press CTRL+N to create a new line.

  5. In the Bank account statement datefield, select the date of the bank statement.

  6. In the Bank statementfield, enter the bank statement number.

  7. In the Ending balancefield, enter the balance shown on the account statement after payments, disbursements, fees, and interest.

  8. Click Transactionsto open the Account reconciliationform.

  9. On the Posted operationstab, view the list of transactions that are reconciled in the account statement.

  10. On the Overviewtab, select the Clearedfield for each reconciled transaction.

    Note Note

    If the Reconcile account total of the incoming balance for the bank account equals the ending balance on the statement, the account is balanced, and the Reconcile accountoption on the Functionsbutton is available.


  11. Click Functions, and then select Reconcile accountto complete the operation.

    Note Note

    After the operations are reconciled in the statement, the status of the bank statement changes to Reconciled.


  12. Press CTRL+S or close the form.

  13. Open the Bank account statementform.

  14. In the Viewfield, select Reconciledto view the reconciled bank statement and the date of reconciliation.

    Note Note

    To change the operation date for posted bank transactions, you can use the Transit accountoption on the Functionsbutton in the Account reconciliationform. However, you cannot use this option for transactions with Customer or Vendor type bank accounts.


  15. Press CTRL+S or close the form.

Transactions without payment journal lines

If a bank statement contains a transaction without a corresponding payment journal line, do the following:

  1. Click Bank> Setup> Parametersto open the Bank parametersform.

  2. On the Number sequencestab, in the Referencefield, set up a number sequence code for the Bank reconciliationoption.

  3. Press CTRL+S or close the form.

  4. In the Account reconciliationform, on the Posted operationstab, on the Overviewtab, create a new line.

  5. In the Bank transaction typefield, select the transaction type.

  6. In the Ledger accountfield, select the account number for posting in ledger.

  7. In the Datefield, select the date of voucher posting.

  8. In the Amount currencyfield, enter the amount of posting in currency.

  9. Click Functions, and then select Posting.

    A bank voucher and ledger voucher are generated for a ledger account that is set up for the bank account corresponding to the account in the Ledger accountfield in the Account reconciliationform.
