Before an employee can be granted vacation, you must create and confirm a vacation resolution. You can use the Vacation resolutionform to create a vacation resolution.

You can create a resolution line manually or by using a vacation schedule in the Vacation resolution linesform.

Create vacation resolution lines manually

  1. Click Staff accounting> Staff administration> Resolution journals> Vacationsto open the Vacation resolutionform.

  2. Press CTRL+N to create a new vacation resolution journal.

  3. In the Namefield, select a journal name.

    Note Note

    The journal number is automatically displayed in the Journalfield according to the number series assigned to resolution journals in the Staff administration parametersform.


  4. In the Resolution datefield, select the resolution creation date.

  5. In the Resolution numberfield, modify the vacation resolution number, if necessary.

    Note Note

    This number is automatically displayed according to the number series assigned to vacation resolutions in the Staff administration parametersform.


  6. Click Linesto open the Vacation resolution linesform.

  7. Press CTRL+N to create a new vacation resolution line manually.

  8. In the Employeefield, select an employee code.

    Note Note

    The name of the employee is automatically displayed in the Employee namefield.


  9. In the Type of vacationfield, select the type of vacation granted to the employee.

  10. In the Start datefield, select the starting date of the vacation.

  11. In the Quantity of daysfield, select the number of vacation days granted.

  12. In the Period startfield, select the starting date of the vacation period.

  13. In the End of periodfield, select the ending date of the vacation period.

  14. Click the Generaltab.

  15. In the Durationfield, select a method to calculate the vacation duration as calendar daysor Work-days.

    Note Note

    The end date of the vacation is calculated and displayed in the End datefield based on this calculation method.


  16. In the Document numberfield, enter the number of the original document granting the vacation.

  17. In the Document datefield, select the date of the original document granting the vacation.

    Note Note

    Repeat steps 7 through 17 to create vacation resolutions for additional employees.


  18. Click Validateto check the resolution lines for errors in the Check journalform.

  19. Click OKto validate the journal.

  20. Click Closeto post the journal in the Post journalform and then click OK.

    Note Note

    The Postedcheck box is automatically selected in the Vacation resolutionform.


  21. Click Restoreto cancel the journal posting in the Post journalform and then click OK.

  22. Press CTRL+S or close the Vacation resolution linesform.

  23. Press CTRL+S or close the Vacation resolutionform.

Create vacation resolution lines from a vacation schedule

  1. Click Staff accounting> Staff administration> Resolution journals> Vacationsto open the Vacation resolutionform.

  2. Press CTRL+N to create a new vacation resolution journal.

  3. In the Namefield, select a journal name.

    Note Note

    The journal number is automatically displayed in the Journalfield according to the number series assigned to resolution journals in the Staff administration parametersform.


  4. In the Resolution datefield, select the resolution creation date.

  5. In the Resolution numberfield, modify the vacation resolution number, if necessary.

    Note Note

    This number is automatically displayed according to the number series assigned to vacation resolutions in the Staff administration parametersform.


  6. Click Linesto open the Vacation resolution linesform.

  7. Click Creating from scheduleto open the Creating order lines on the basis of vacation scheduleform.

  8. Select a vacation schedule line, and then click Add.

    Note Note

    The vacation schedule lines for the selected employee are automatically added to the vacation resolution in the Vacation resolution linesform.


  9. Repeat steps 12 through 23 of the topic Create vacation resolution lines manually.
